1.1 Sunlight enters the solar panels, and is converted into electric flow.
1.2 The solar inverter converts the direct current (DC) that comes from the panels to alternating current (AC)
1.3 The electric company installs a bidirectional meter, which manages the energy produced by the solar panels vs the energy consumed by the customer's electrical equipment.
1.4 Then, the bidirectional meter records the extra energy produced by the solar generation (clean energy), and sends the electric company (utility), this process is known as Net Metering.
